Dr. King's Melody was written in 2003 in honor of our Leader, the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. As the musical director for my former church, every year for Dr. King's birthday, we would never have a song to sing in his honor. I decided to write a song to pay homage to a great humanitarian, our friend, our leader, Dr. King!
