PEEKSKILL BOARD OF EDUCATION MEMBER (FORMER PRESIDENT) RELEASES DEBUT GOSPEL CD, RESTORE ME
PEEKSKILL, NY, DECEMBER 13, 2007: Peekskill native and Board of Education member, Tuesday Paige McDonald will release her debut Gospel CD RESTORE ME (Martue Music/BMI) on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Peekskill’s Division Street Grill. Singer-Songwriter, Paige McDonald is set to perform the title track and 1st single, “Restore” to an audience of at least two hundred.
Although Paige McDonald was once the opening act for megastar, Mary J. Blige and has performed in the off-Broadway play, “Reaching for the Stars” she returns to her “roots” with her first Gospel CD, RESTORE. “I’ve been blessed with many musical opportunities in my life but Gospel music is my first love,” says Paige McDonald. “I’m excited about my work on this CD from the lyrics to the vocals, arrangements and production.”
PAIGE MCDONALD IS KNOWN LOCALLY AS COMMUNITY FIXTURE
Paige McDonald is best known locally as a public servant for her work on the Peekskill School Board serving as President from 2001- 2004 and Vice President from 1999-2001. She is also highly acclaimed for her presence at Mount Olivet Baptist Church as the Director of Music. True Peekskill natives have known Paige McDonald for many years as she matriculated through the Peekskill School District performing at graduations and in school plays.
Along with Paige McDonald, Peekskill is the hometown of actor, Mel Gibson; former New York Governor, George Pataki and NBA star, Elton Brand.
TWO RELEASE PARTY TIMES SCHEDULED
Paige McDonald is scheduled to hold two release parties to accommodate the overwhelming support of her CD, RESTORE. She will perform at both the afternoon (11:30am – 2pm) and the evening 6:30 pm – 9pm). Along with the title track, “Restore”, Paige McDonald will perform another track from the CD, “Sweeter”. Local guest performers will join the singer-songwriter in the festivities during the evening CD release party.
Paige McDonald will debut, “Dr. King’s Melody” from the RESTORE CD next month at “Honoring of King” – an annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. event to be held at Peekskill High School January 21, 2008 at 3pm. This event features participants from the Westchester County area and is sponsored by Mount Olivet Baptist Church.
Paige McDonald recently received her Masters in Public Administration from Pace University. The singer-songwriter is married to Martin McDonald and they have one son together named Malachi.
The Division Street Grill is located at 26 North Division Street in Peekskill.
